I want to share something personal with my viewers. I have been getting a lot of questions about why i roll my eyes in my YouTube videos. I do it because I have Tourette's. I started ticking when I was 2 years old, I was diagnosed when I was 5. My entire life has been up and down with this disorder. I am extremely comfortable with talking about it and I am not ashamed to speak about it and tell my story. When I tell people I have Tourette's they look at me like I'm crazy and ask "why don't you yell and cuss?". Well there is a simple answer to that. Not all people with Tourette's scream and cuss, In my case i do physical things with my body such as rolling my eyes, and contorting my neck. The media has made this disorder look like there is only horrible cases of it, but this is not the truth at all. I am lucky that I only have it to the extent that I do. I am proud of everything I have accomplished and I am in no way ashamed of who i am today. As of today I do not tick as much as I used to, But as soon as I'm dealing with something personal or I'm stressed the ticks will start. It may seem very simple but its extremely painful for me. The ticks that I do make me feel sick and have a sore neck, headaches and just different body pains. You can't just tell yourself to stop because it's hurting, because it wont stop it never will. You have to let it ride out and take the pain because there is nothing you can do. What people don't realize is the struggles people who have the disease go through on a daily bases. I want to share my story with the world because I feel that this has made me a stronger person. I used to feel bad for myself but I don't anymore. At all. I want to speak out and tell everyone it's not only what the media makes it seem like it's different, way different. Anyone with Tourette's would know what I mean. There are people with the disease out there who are suffering so badly, I feel horrible for them because there bullied, teased and made fun of for something that is completely out of there control. My goal is to one day explain to all the people with tourette's that were just the same as everyone else, just because we go through a struggle everyday does not make us not normal. Were simply different that's all, and in today's society being different is great.

  1. I popped by after reading your mom's blog. She made me several pieces of jewelry for me using a box of my sister's jewelry after she passed away from cancer. I will always treasure those pieces.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that you are a beautiful young woman and very thoughtful to share your story to help change people's perceptions. Wishing you all the best in your future!
